Dancing Photos | Let the Good Times Roll

Weddings and dancing go hand in hand. Get a room full of friends and family, fill them with love for the happy couple, and start up the music. Sure enough, dancing is sure to break out! We’ve captured many unforgettable moments when spirits are high, smiles are wide, and everyone is letting loose to their favorite songs. Whether it’s a live band or DJ, cultural dancing or an old-school “running man”, we’re right there to photograph the fancy footwork.

After your last major reception event, like the cake cutting or garter/bouquet toss, we recommend having us photograph the dance floor action for a half hour. This will ensure a great variety of dancing photos, and give everyone time to bust their favorite (or only) move :) Raise your hands in the air for this megamix of upbeat wedding dance photos.

Darlington House Wedding with Music Phreek DJ & Lighting

Throughout the course of a wedding, there are so many different types of moments. It’s important to be able to recognize each moment as it comes, and pair it appropriately with music, to keep the energy flowing.

I always say that music can make or break an event. I love providing the music and entertainment for my clients, and making their wedding day better than they could have ever imagined.

Recently, my company provided the musical entertainment for the wedding of Katie and David. This couple was down to earth, and fully prepared to have a good time on their big day. Check out some photos below from their wedding at the Darlington House in La Jolla.

From the start of the big day, everyone in the bridal party was full of energy. Here’s a great shot of the bridal party celebrating the newlyweds.

Even during a “serious photo”, the mood was light. It’s difficult to take someone too seriously when they’re wearing a lamp shade.

From the ceremony on the Egyptian Patio, to a group photo on the Andalusian Patio, to the reception in the Rose Garden, the Darlington House allowed Katie and David’s friends and family to celebrate their marriage in an intimate setting.

Shortly after Katie and David made their grand entrance into the reception, the couple judged an energetic dance-off between close friends and family. It got the crowd laughing, and made guests excited and comfortable from the start. Everyone was having a blast!

Even during the cake cutting, we chose the perfect song as background music to keep the night flowing. Here’s another example of a couple letting loose and enjoying their big day.

When it was David’s turn to remove the garter, Katie “Iced” David. “Icing” is a prank where someone finds an elaborate way of hiding a bottle of Smirnoff Ice, and when uncovered by their target, the target must drink the entire bottle while on one knee. Katie pulled off the prank perfectly!
