Jamie and Tyson live in the seaside community of Playa del Rey in Los Angeles. Because the beach felt like a natural place for their engagement photo session, we headed down to the sand at La Jolla Cove. We wanted to capture the two of them walking hand in hand along the shore. It was the perfect time of day for that warm summer glow, with the sun peering up just above the horizon.
Before the sun set, we walked along the streets of downtown La Jolla. Along our walk, we discovered a pair of giant “his and hers” cutouts that made for a fun prop / backdrop. Throughout the shoot, Jamie and Tyson were playful and confident, which shined through in their photos. We look forward to photographing their August wedding at the Westgate Hotel!
