From our couple, Candice and Javier:

How we met: Candice and Javy originally met at Balboa Capital. Candice worked in the Marketing Department and Javy was a Sales Representative. Javy still remembers the first day he met Candice – Candice had an early morning interview scheduled before normal business hours. Javy, who usually gets in the office around 7:00am, noticed the gorgeous girl sitting in the lobby and just had to meet her. Candice had a boyfriend in the beginning of her employment at Balboa Capital, but then ended it shortly after starting the job. Javy and Candice became good work friends during that time. However, it wasn’t until about a year after Candice left Balboa that Javy contacted her once again. As timing would have it, Candice had plans to move to Texas and start her Master’s Degree. Candice and Javy had a life-changing 3 weeks before she left for Texas and stayed in touch everyday until she returned to Southern California. The rest is history…

Engagement Shoot Experience: We knew that True Photography was going to be our photography company after looking at their work online. We had Mike shoot our engagement photos and we could not have been more happy. He did a great job! He was nice, entertaining, easy to get along with, and had great ideas for places to shoot. The engagement pictures turned out great and the shoot was a lot of fun. We cannot wait till the wedding to be able to work with Mike again and take some more great pictures while being entertained at the same time!

From our bride, Aimee:

Choosing True Photography to photograph our wedding was an easy decision. Aaron was very gracious, both on the phone and when we met with him in person. During our initial meeting, we were very impressed with the different styles of photography and the attention to detail they gave to each selected photo on current albums they were working on for other couples. All of our high hopes and expectations were met in the engagement shoot and wedding photography.

Mike made us feel really comfortable during the engagement shoot. It was a lot of fun taking photos in Solana Beach and getting to know Mike.

On our wedding day, Mike and Mario showed up promptly and took an incredible array of photos of both wedding parties, as well as candid shots that we really love. The day goes by so fast and it’s great to have photos of the little moments that made it so special! We were both really pleased with the ceremony and reception photos. The quality of the finished photos was awesome. I still can’t believe how many great detail shots there are and how many wonderful moments they captured. The mix of colors and textures they use add a unique element to the photographs. Choosing from so many photos felt overwhelming, but True Photography really works as a team to help you tell your wedding day story. It was such an enjoyable process and we are both really thankful that we were in such great hands with Aaron, Mike, Mario, April and Lisa.

Our wedding coordinator, Lisa Moon (Lisa Moon Events), was incredible! She is one of the most kind, professional, and dedicated people I have ever met. Her team even dressed to coordinate with our wedding colors – that’s how much thought she puts into every detail of your wedding day!

Karla Flores from Elegant by Design did an absolutely amazing job with our flowers. She worked with us on our budget and really helped us come up with a classic and memorable look for our ceremony and reception. She also put together an incredible candy station (Thanks Mike and Mario for taking a photo of it because that candy disappeared fast ;)

I especially heart Vivian from Paper Girl Custom Invitations. She helped us design and print beautiful invitations, programs, name cards, and menus. She also helped us deal with all of the chaos that goes on with weddings. Her advice, on paper and otherwise was priceless!

What I really wanted was a sexy shoot. I was looking for pictures that our grandchildren would look at one day and think to themselves…. ‘Grandma and Grandpa were hot!’ In researching engagement photography, I preferred those with vibrant colors, interesting poses and couples that looked like they were having fun. We both had a blast during this shoot! Our friends keep saying it looks like a magazine shoot for 944. The pictures came out exactly how we wanted and I look forward to having them as a lasting memory of our wonderful engagement… and our lack of wrinkles.
