San Juan Capistrano is filled with colorful and vibrant backdrops, making it a great engagement shoot location. So when Katie and Nielsen decided on this picturesque spot for their shoot, we were thrilled! We met at the San Juan Capistrano Train Depot, which was built in 1894, and sits across the street from the city’s historic Mission. With features such as rustic, ivory-covered brick buildings, and an old red caboose dating back to 1869, the train station lends itself to undeniably unique and breathtaking photos.
Katie and Nielsen are a stunning couple, and they seemed very natural behind the camera. During their shoot, we photographed the pair as they strolled throughout the lush grounds, held hands along the train tracks, and stopped for break in the shade. About an hour before sunset, we made sure to take advantage of the natural golden light, which cast a beautiful glow on the couple. Take a look below at some of our favorite shots from the day!
