Sunset Cliffs Engagement Session | Andrea and George

George is from Hawaii, and he and bride-to be Andrea requested a tropical beach engagement shoot. We ultimately decided on Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach, which is famous for its sweeping oceanfront view. We timed the shoot around the gorgeous sunset, also made use of the surrounding neighborhood for extra variety in the photos. It was a fun shoot with this happy and personable couple, and we hope you enjoy the highlights below :)

Little Dudes, Big Day | Ring Bearer Inspiration Photos

Whenever kids are included in the wedding party, we can count on them for fun and memorable wedding photo moments. Besides being adorable, kids add unpredictability and joy to the wedding day proceedings, and deserve their own moment of recognition. In this spirit, we’d like to take a moment to honor a very important guy at the wedding – the ring bearer :) Often partnered with a flower girl, the ring bearer plays a sweet and honorary role in the wedding process, and brings a burst of youthful energy to the wedding day.

In a traditional ceremony, the ring bearer walks down the aisle first, carrying a pillow with the rings tied to it. However, if you have a group of kids you want to recognize, you can have a whole parade of cuteness. These kids can all walk into the ceremony together, with any number of “assistant” ring bearers carrying signs to signal the bride’s arrival. To include the youngest of the bunch, a Radio Flyer wagon makes the perfect “aisle-terrain” vehicle.

Today is Mother’s Day, and in honor of this extra special occasion, we’d like to celebrate ALL women…especially moms :) At many weddings, both traditional and modern, the mother is given a place of honor throughout the day. Whether she helps you get ready, walks you down the aisle, or shares a sentimental dance, moms definitely deserve some time in the spotlight.
