Estancia La Jolla Wedding with EverAfter Events

By, October 04, 2012

I recently had the opportunity to work with Anita and Michael, who were married at the Estancia Hotel and Spa. I love the Rancho style of the The Estancia Hotel in La Jolla, as well as the green gardens and overall elegance. This couple was one of the sweetest I’ve had the pleasure of working with. It was apparent to everyone that they enjoyed every moment of their day!

Anita and Michael’s pale pink and white color palette blended beautifully with the rustic brick and natural elements of the venue, as you can see in these gorgeous photos by True Photography. Take a look!

The ceremony took place in the Garden Courtyard, which was adorned with soft and feminine shades of pink by Organic Elements.

Just before Anita and her Dad walked down the grand staircase, all eyes were on this cute little ring bearer. It was so much fun to see him getting pulled down the aisle in this adorably decorated wagon!

The Estancia has a beautifully tiled staircase that leads down from the adobe buildings to the ceremony site. This allowed for the bride to make a dramatic grand entrance!

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed spectacular drinks and appetizers just outside of the La Jolla Ballroom.

The name card table was decorated with photos of the bridal couple’s parents at their own weddings. It was also topped off by this amazing floral structure!

The room was gold toned with pale pink and white accents, which created a beautiful ambiance and a relaxed atmosphere.  Each table top was set with high centerpieces and with hanging candles to set the mood.

Watching Anita dance with her dad was so special and touching. Mr. Vishwanath had the largest smile on his face and was beaming the entire dance. So precious!

Anita and Michael were amazing to work with, and the celebration turned out flawless! It was truly a beautiful day for a beautiful couple.

At The White Flower, they pride themselves on offering a beautifully curated selection of luxury bridal gowns that range from sophisticated and classic to whimsical and romantic. They cater to brides who love to be sexy with a bit of sparkle and also those brides who prefer a more textured and refined look.

Their selection of special order gowns range from $3000 to $9500 and are created by American, Israeli, Australian and Lebanese designers. Brides who visit their boutique find their dream dress with the help of their own personal bridal stylist within a private bridal suite. This ensures their experience in our boutique is relaxing and luxurious.

About Nicole and her gown
One of our recent brides Nicole wore a beautiful Martina Liana dress. This fit and flare silhouette beautifully flatters her body and features a gorgeous lace pattern with an illusion neckline & lace illusion back.

Because the back of this gown features beautiful pearl buttons and stunning garden-inspired lace motifs, covering it with a veil would not have been the way to go! Nicole opted to let the gown shine on its own, which was the perfect choice for her bridal look.

When looking for your dream dress, listen to your heart!  A bride will not choose the wrong gown.  The most important thing is that YOU love your dress. It is so easy to get caught up in the moment and buy a gown that everyone is in love with.  It is completely okay to take time to think about your decision because you can always go back to see the gown again!

Romantic Wedding Celebration at the Seaside Forum

By, April 19, 2011

We caught up with Emily to recap her wedding to Paul at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in downtown San Diego. They followed  up the ceremony with a contemporary reception at the Scripps Forum. Check out a few of the images we captured of the gorgeous couple, and see what Emily had to say about their big day:

Meghan of True Photography: Thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions about your wedding for our blog! I’m interested to know what was most important to you and Paul when planning your wedding?

Emily (Bride): We didn’t want our wedding to feel “typical” or manufactured. We wanted the focus to remain on marriage, the whole purpose of the day, and not to get lost on all the things that become insignificant once the event is over, like party favors and material things.

Meghan of True Photography: If you had to choose, what would you say was your most memorable moment from your wedding day?

Emily (Bride): Being at the altar. Ironically, that was when were all alone, just the two of us, up there with the priest. It was really surreal and special. All the hand squeezes and sideways glances that no one else could see or know about. That is special and still stands out to me.

Meghan of True Photography: You were such a beautiful bride and we absolutely loved photographing you and Paul. Can you tell us what your experience was like working with True Photography?

Emily (Bride): True Photography was great. If I could describe the experience I would say “easy and efficient”. We wanted to be able to enjoy a little bit of the cocktail hour with our guests, and Mike made that happen, without sacrificing photos we wanted. The pictures truly captured the essence of the event.
