Fabrics and Laces
We only use the finest quality 100% silk duchess satin, taffeta, and organza in the making of a Jenny Lee wedding dress. These base fabrics come from the city of Como in Italy which has a long tradition for producing some of the best textiles in the world - silk finished to the highest possible standard and unsurpassed by any other textile mills.
Laces such as Alencon and chantilly come directly from France, where specialty lace companies have produced these fabrics for centuries.
In addition to using the finest fabrics, we also incorporate several fabrics finishes to help maintain the look and feel of our wedding dresses. For all silk taffetas, we use a specially formulated spray starch which coats the fabric and prevents creasing. Unlike regular starch, this micro-fine formula will not make the taffeta stiff and instead protects the fresh appearance of our gowns.
Our satins are all bonded on the reverse with a special tricot (knit) webbing which also prevents these delicate fabrics from excessive creasing.
Here at Jenny Lee, we do not produce wedding dresses to standard set size specifications. We appreciate that the perfect fit of a gown is one of the most important elements, and we strive for perfection when we make all of our dresses.
When a bride selects a dress we work with the salon to get all of the bride's exact measurements, which we then incorporate into our specialized sizing specifications to create a one-of-a-kind fit. This is the closest to a "couture" experience a bride can get and ultimately shows in the finished product.
Our gowns are renowned for their fit and support. They are fully constructed both inside and out. Additionally, the gowns are fully lined with silk, so the bride will look and feel exceptional in a Jenny Lee dress.
