About Thistle Dew Floral & Event Design

Hello and Welcome to Thistle Dew Floral and Event Design. I was raised in the Pacific Northwest and every summer my family would spend vacations along the coast of Cannon Beach, Oregon. I have fond memories of staying in a cabin, the last one on the row, closest to the beach, named “The Thistle Dew”.

From the cabin, the view of the ocean was framed by a field of beautiful wild thistles, glistening from the fresh morning dew. When I decided it was time for me to start my own floral design business, I smiled to myself because the name was an easy decision….

I love what I do… working with flowers, color, and different textures to create all types of design styles for memorable events. A lush English Garden bouquet is just as inspiring to me as a structural arrangement using a single Orchid stem.

My design studio provides an inspirational space for brainstorming design ideas for weddings and events. The studio is free from the distractions of running a retail floral shop, so my concentration is solely on you and your affair.

I’ve spent eighteen years as a professional designer in the Event Industry, first in Seattle with Nordstrom Catering and then a move south to Southern California where I was the Special Event Design Coordinator for Adelaide’s Flowers in La Jolla.

I’m the proud parent of two fuzzy kids, a Poodle named Topher and a Yorkipoo named Sophie, who I love dearly, as well as my life partner, childhood sweetheart, and my greatest supporter, Eric.
