Lake Hodges, nestled just south of Escondido, is a serene and beautiful location. So we were more than happy to head there with Stacey and Aaron for their engagement shoot! For those seeking pictures in nature, Lake Hodges is filled with fantastic photo opportunities. It’s also a great place for a princess to flee from crowds – yes, Stacey plays the role of Cinderella at Disneyland!

Just before sunset, we met up with Stacey and Aaron and their dog Duke (aka their “son”), and took a short stroll to the lake. We loved Stacey’s vibrant red dress, and couldn’t resist capturing a series of photos in the tall grass.

Later, with the July heat beating upon us, we decided to cool off and capture some playful and romantic moments in the water. The fun concluded at a lakeside champagne picnic, with a charming wooden swing nearby. Duke even took the spotlight by announcing Stacey & Aaron’s winter wedding date!

We had a wonderful time photographing this couple, and are excited to see them at the Grand Tradition‘s picturesque Beverly Mansion this December!
