True Photography is San Diego's most popular and trusted photography studio. For over 20 years, we have dedicated ourselves to creative and unique wedding photography. We have remained true to our craft while evolving over time. This ensures that your wedding photography is free of gimmicks. At the same time, we capture and produce your photos using very modern equipment and techniques.
Several years ago, a client remarked that our images are "timeless with an edge." We love the expression and feel that this defines us perfectly. Whenever there is an opportunity to be a bit different or outside the norm, we will take it. This is because we are creative photographers. We are not afraid to bring bold ideas to the table. Having said that, we also ensure that all the fundamentals are taken care of. We make sure that you receive full coverage of your wedding day. We just like to bring an extra element of flair and creativity. Beyond what is expected!
Our Wedding Photography Team
Our hand-picked team of talented photographers is small and carefully selected. Supporting this core team are our dedicated enhancers, retouchers, and client specialists. Beyond the skill of one or two amazing photographers, you have an entire creative team of specialists working on your behalf. Whether we photograph an engagement shoot or produce a wedding album, you will see the care and expertise that our team brings. We put our dedication into each and every wedding. This is why, when looking at our online images, you'll see every single wedding photographed over the past several years.
Your Wedding Photographers
Though it varies by event, typical weddings tend to have two photographers included in the photography package. These photographers work together as a team, made up of a lead shooter and a secondary shooter. The nice thing about two photographers is that you have greater coverage of your wedding day. For example, one photographer can be capturing the cocktail hour while the other shoots details of the ceremony room. Or each photographer can be with one half of the wedding party during the getting ready photos. This solves the challenge of your wedding photographer being in two places at once. For smaller events or weddings on a more restricted budget, we do provide the option of having one photographer working solo.
Our photographers are all creative and technically precise shooters. In addition, each individual has a fun and engaging personality that lets them fit right in at your wedding. These photographers know how to take charge while being unobtrusive. They do not make themselves the center of attention but rather blend in with the group. Instead, they are more like guests that happen to be extremely talented photographers. They are of course highly professional in the process, and working extremely hard to capture your images. But many wedding couples have remarked that their photographers felt like an addition to the family by the end of the wedding. We love hearing this, because it shows that the connection the photographers was perfect, and exactly as intended.
Our team has essential photography skills that have taken years to learn and refine. However, technology changes and improves over time. What we do is combine years of photography expertise with updated technology breakthroughs. This gives you the best of both worlds. Examples of technology that keeps us current are camera bodies, lenses, editing / retouch software and gear accessories. We have also developed our own in-house processes to give our images a finished and professionally produced look. Many of these techniques are unique to our studio and set us apart from other San Diego wedding photographers.
Care and Attention
When you hire our studio, we want to make sure that you are completely happy with your entire experience. This starts with the first call and continues past the point you receive your wedding photos from our studio. Early on, we will dedicate time to walking you through the photography package options, including availability and pricing. We will answer any and all questions pertaining to your wedding, and talk through the specific details of your event photography. Also, we will ask which venue you will be using for your wedding. This is important because our team has photographed at nearly every venue in San Diego. Based on our past experience, we will likely have ideas and recommendations related to your wedding photography. We will also share ideas about your photography timeline, and how to make the most of your photography budget.
We have developed an online customizer that makes booking your wedding photography easy and enjoyable. With the customer, you can select the number of hours, choose your specific event date, play with budget options, and many other settings. We created this customizer to give you the ultimate flexibility in hiring our studio for exactly what you need, and within your desired price range. The customizer is so easy to use that you can actually book us for your wedding photography completely on your own. Not to worry though - we will still walk you through the customizer and explain the options.
Over the years, we have worked hard to cement our reputation as the most creative and dependable photography studio in San Diego. We appreciate the consistent 5 star reviews we've earned across the web from valued clients. Almost as importantly, we are known and trusted in the vendor community, having worked with a large number of San Diego wedding vendors. We are also high on the preferred photographer list for many long-established San Diego venues, as the photographer of choice. We understand that each new wedding client is an opportunity to do an amazing job and to prove that our reputation is well earned.
