Happy Independence Day! In celebration of the 4th of July, we’re featuring some of our favorite “explosive” photos that our photographers have captured at recent weddings.

Once the cake has been cut, and the bouquet tossed, a sparkler sendoff is a memorable way to celebrate the newlyweds! To cheer on the bride and groom on their way to the getaway car, wedding guests line up with crackling sparklers, and lots of energy. The result is much like a football team running through the tunnel before a big game. Sparklers can also be used to create glowing designs in the air, leading to timeless photo ops!

Another flashy way to end a wedding celebration is to share a kiss during a fireworks show. If a private fireworks display is out of reach, which is understandable, there are luckily a few venues in San Diego where you can enjoy scheduled shows. For example, couples getting married at bayside venues like the Bahia Hotel can experience Sea World’s nearby firework displays. Sea World’s shows run nearly every night in the summer from June to September. Also, following Friday night Padres games, downtown venues like the Ultimate Skybox feature breathtaking fireworks from PETCO Park!
