Old Town San Diego is known for many things, including cultural heritage, historic structures, and of course freshly handmade tortillas. It was the commercial center of San Diego until the 1860’s, and many of the buildings date back as early as 1820. We like to photograph engagement shoots here because of the interesting textures, scenic backdrops, and bright colors. The entire area is romantic and fun, and makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. During an Old Town engagement shoot, we often take a stroll along the charming shops and residences. In the central plaza, it’s fun to walk among the guides dressed in period costume, or enjoy impromptu concerts by local musicians. Afterwards, the two of you may want to stick around and enjoy the culinary delights, and indulge in a cold cerveza or margarita.
