Highlights of Green Gables Wedding Estate

Tucked away in the hills of San Marcos, this English garden inspired wedding venue is a treasure trove of interesting backdrops and romantic settings. This turn-of-the-century historic landmark estate is set in total seclusion, nestled among a towering forest that dates back well over 100 years.

A day at Green Gables typically begins in the bridal suite inside of the 1890’s schoolhouse. Here, the bride can apply her finishing touches, put on her gown, and relax for a moment before walking down the aisle. The big windows in the suite are a great source of soft light in the room.

If you continue to walk around the schoolhouse you will find a large shaded lawn that features a rope swing and enough room to photograph even the largest wedding party.

One of the more iconic locations at Green Gables is the 1951 Ford Truck. This vintage piece of Americana is a perfect backdrop for bridal parties and fun photos of the newlyweds.

Just past the truck, following a winding road away from the main venue, youu2019ll come to a more secluded area of the property that is perfect for some intimate portrait of the bride and groom.

The gazebo that is used as the altar during the ceremony can also be used as the backdrop for formal wedding parties or romantic coupleu2019s photos of the new Bride and Groom.

After sunset the entire venue comes alive with large market lights and tiny twinkling lights. These make for a magical backdrop for some awesome night photos.
