Say YES to everything!

The value in hiring a talented and experienced photographer is that you are able to let go, and know that you will be properly taken care of. We always bring a positive and happy energy to the photo shoots that we do, and it gets us super excited to create amazing photos and memories for you. When you can jump in and embrace the YES, you are best utilizing our expertise and vision. You also help us bring out your personality!

Sometimes we will have you do things that may feel a little funny. For example: Rubbing noses… Does it feel a bit cheesy? Yes. Will you want to throw the first 6 pictures of the series away? Yes. But that is ok, because we (as photographers) know that on the 7th shot, you will have this moment where you are laughing with each other. Because you embraced the moment without second-guessing, and had fun instead, you allowed us to get to that 7th shot and frame it perfectly. It is the partnership between you and your photographer that achieves that priceless photograph.

We definitely want you to get the most out of your photography experience, and the best results! In order to do so, it is important to do a photography version of a trust fall ;) When you are excited, we are also excited and it pushes our creativity even more. We all end up having more fun, and the better you feel, the better the photos tend to be.

These Shoes Rule!

When it comes to fashion, it’s the shoes that really finish off the look! The same is true for the wedding day ensemble. Your shoes present the opportunity to choose something unique and personal to your style. We have seen brides rock fancy heels, sneakers, flip flops, boots, and everything in between. We haven’t come across a bride in bowling shoes yet though :) Who is up for the challenge?

While wedding shoe shopping, we suggest picking a pair that is comfortable enough to wear all day, and makes your heart and mind say, “these shoes rule!” After you show up in your perfect kicks, we will make sure to capture them in a fun and creative way. Enjoy the examples below!

For her wedding to Shawn, Danielle went with customized Toms, which were bursting with personality. Danielle's shoes were a triple threat, combining custom artwork, her charitable spirit, and the comfort to move with ease throughout her wedding day.

For her tropical destination wedding in Punta Mita, Mexico, Natalie chose these gold, glittery heels.

Shana and Antione each wore comfy sneakers after Shana shoe-swapped halfway through the wedding. Antione walked the extra mile by having his sneakers customized with their names.

A Perfect Fit | Wedding Rings

From the moment a proposal is accepted, to the day vows are exchanged, the ring is literally along for the ride :) The engagement ring custom likely dates back to Ancient Egypt, where the left-hand “ring finger” was believed to have a direct connection to the heart. By wearing precious stones and strong metals on this finger, the recipient could demonstrate an everlasting love and commitment to their betrothed.

As wedding photographers, we see many personalized spins on this old custom. Some designs, like the classic solitaire or the dazzling halo diamond, always remain in style. Custom ring boxes can be a great way to keep your treasures safe. For Carmellee and Alvin's wedding day at the Coronado Community Center, the couple had this adorable custom box engraved with their initials and date, for a functional and enduring keepsake.
