An Enchanted Wedding Celebration at The Prado with Floral Decor by Blush Botanicals

By, February 18, 2013

We love being creative, and going “all out” for excited couples who are passionate about working with us! Our favorite part of what we do is seeing the finished product come together on the wedding day.

We recently had the honor of creating the floral decor for Tanya and Cameron’s big day at the The Prado in Balboa Park.

Tanya chose a beautiful and meaningful bridal bouquet of soft ivory, blush and grey tones, complete with texture and detail. The handle was finished in ivory satin, and included aspects from the bridal gown, as well as photos of family members.

What started with a few inspiration photos from Tanya and Cameron gave us quickly became a completely customized look. Following their color scheme of deep reds, burgundy, and natural green tones, we created unique groomsman boutonnieres and bridesmaid bouquets. The colors used were a nice complement to their grey satin dresses!

The reception at The Prado was enhanced with candles, which were presented in clear and mercury glasses. The room had a beautiful glow, and it set the mood for a romantic evening.

The head table, which was focal point of the room, was draped in beautiful crushed champagne linen and gold Chiavari chairs. Details of the table included mercury glass vessels of varying sizes. The eclectic vases and candles were separated by two tall Manzanita branch centerpieces.

We placed two types of centerpieces around the reception area. First, we used natural brown Manzanita branches, which were presented in custom stained-wood boxes. We draped deep red, burgundy and natural green blooms from the branches, as well as glowing hanging candles. These stunning arrangements helped to create drama and beauty throughout the room.

The next centerpiece was designed by filling a mercury glass vase with richly colored florals. Vases were separated by tall mercury glass candle holders, which paired beautifully with the gold chargers set out for each guest.

We appreciated Tanya and Cameron’s trusting nature, and their energy throughout the planning process. It is always refreshing to work with a young couple who is so in love, and so energized about their big day! The florals came together beautifully, and set the tone for an enchanted evening!

A Ranch Style Wedding with Lace, Burlap and Blush Botanicals

By, January 14, 2013

It is such an honor to be asked by a peer in the industry to help design their very own wedding. We had so much fun working with Rachel of I Do Weddings on her own wedding since, as a wedding planner, we work with her all the time on a professional level.

Rachel came in knowing the exact look she wanted to achieve for her big day, and trusted us with the details. She was an absolute dream to work with, and we loved every second of it!

The wedding was held at Serenity Oaks Ranch, a picturesque private estate in rural Valley Center. The lovely outdoor venue featured acres of open space, as well as beautiful oaks trees. The natural surroundings perfectly complemented the soft wedding colors such as as blush and ivory.

Rachel carried an organic bouquet of soft blush and ivory tones, with cool blue succulent accents, and loads of texture. The hand-tied bouquet was finished in a burlap wrapping, with delicate buttons running down the length of the handle.

We used similar tones for Mike and his groomsmens’ boutonnieres, incorporating the soft blue succulents and natural twine for texture.

These adorable flower girls walked down the aisle carrying large blush garden roses, adorned with simple, whimsical ribbon.

The couple got married under a large tree, which allowed them to get a bit creative. Two vintage, whitewashed window frames were hung, and accented with soft blush and ivory tones.

The reception was set with two unique table tops. Round tables, which were covered in burlap, were topped with eclectic bud vases paired with mercury glass candle holders. Long wooden banquet tables were topped with our unique lace runners, as well as tall footed candle holders wrapped in a burlap accent.

Rachel and Mike wanted to create a romantic, organic and warm feeling for their big day. By staying heavy on candlelight, natural textures and soft tones, we were able to create a very inviting atmosphere.

Rachel was a relaxed bride, and was able to enjoy every moment. The newlyweds, and the entire wedding, looked absolutely stunning.

A Soft, Vintage Inspired Wedding with Blush Botanicals

By, October 01, 2012

It brings us so much joy to create exceptional weddings from week to week. Every wedding is unique, and has its own look and feel. Our favorite aspect of working in the wedding industry is the complete creative freedom to design inspired works of art.

For example, we were very involved in Pranee and Mo’s creative design process from beginning to end. Although they started with ideas about the overall design and details, they wanted help executing the vision and bringing everything together. This is where we came in!

One of the ideas brainstormed was to use a soft color scheme of peach, coral, blush, ivory and sea foam. As well, it was decided to incorporate a lot of fun and unusual textures into the design. In the images below, you can see the vintage twist added to these initial concepts, including distressed wood, mason jars and textured burlap.

It was a beautiful day for this stunning ceremony, which took place by the golf course at the La Costa Resort and Spa. Pranee and Mo were on board with all of our creative ideas, including the asymmetrical canopy that began simply as a drawing.

Our gorgeous deep-stained wood canopy was draped in a sheer ivory silk, and soft peach and blush blooms studded the sides and top. The florals included fragrant garden roses, large cafe au lait dahlias, fluffy stock, spray roses, standard roses and dusty miller accents.

Fun sea-foam-tinted mason jars were tied to ivory satin wrapped shepherds’ hooks, and filled with peach and blush blooms.

The blushing bride carried a bouquet of fragrant garden roses, soft stock spray roses, standard roses, scabiosa pods and silvery dusty miller leaves. The bouquet was held together by a layered burlap ribbon.

A whimsical, textured, and pastel theme carried throughout the entire fabulous fête. Placed throughout the venue were soft blush and peach blooms, which were studded with organic succulents and scabiosa pods.

Ambiance for the candle-accented, romantic reception was created through two types of centerpieces. The featured centerpiece sat atop a sea-foam green platform, which was wrapped in a textured burlap ribbon. The secondary centerpiece incorporated a distressed wood platform, and held small mason jars containing assorted rosebuds and candles.
