Many of us are parents, and we know firsthand that the stages in a child's development move quickly. That is why infant photography is so important. It allows us to capture your baby after the newborn phase, and before they are off and running. Your infant is busy exploring the world, having new experiences, and being your constant companion. We will capture this phase with a fun and engaging photo session centered around your infant.

Where To Hold Your Infant Photo Session

We will hold your photo session anywhere that is comfortable and relaxed for you and your infant. This could be in your home, at a nearby park, at the beach, or in a studio. We find that environmental shoots work well because they give your photographer a lot to work with. For example, your photographer can incorporate colors, textures, and backgrounds into your photos to make them visually interesting. Having sand, a baby swing, or a pile of leaves for your infant to interact with adds action to the photos also. We will be happy to make recommendations about where your infant photo session can take place.

Your baby changes day-by-day, and is constantly growing and evolving. Typically, it is the proud parents themselves who reach out to our studio. But in addition, photo shoots can be given as a gift. If you know a couple with a new baby, arranging a newborn photo session is a very thoughtful and generous present. When To Have An Infant Photo Session

Prior to your shoot, we will work together to coordinate the day and time that works best for you. Ideally, we like to be there when your infant is well rested and most active and alert. Chances are, you will have a sense of your infant's nap schedule and happiest time of day. This will be the time to hold your photo session. If you find that mid-mornings are the magic time, for example, we will be able to designate a photographer around that time. If early evenings are challenging, then we will want to avoid that time of day. We will trust your experience as a parent and plan your shoot accordingly.
