About Legendary Lion Dance Association

We are the San Diego Legendary Lion Dance Association, also known as Legendary Lion Dance; a non-profit lion dance team based in San Diego, CA. Ever since the turn of the century, this team has evolved into many age groups and ethnicities ranging from age 8-20. Although we are still considered a young group, we come with strength and endurance, alongside with a great passion for the art of lion dancing and the culture and traditions behind it. With our determination, we perform our very best to show what we’re made of. Our team has many achievements throughout the span of a decade. Recognized by many lion dancers throughout the world, this team is on the rise and is an inspiration to some. On February 1st, 2014 the City of San Diego awarded “Legendary Lion Dance” for our contributions to San Diego’s arts and Culture. We will continue our contributions of community service throughout the year. We are proud to be one of the very few premier Lion Dance teams in San Diego.
