    At last - your baby is on the move! It is time for a toddler photography session :) Our photographers will document your growing toddler for occasions such as birthdays, holidays, or just because. We capture your toddler at play, engaged in a newfound hobby, or enjoying a favorite family location. We arrive at the photo shoot rested and ready to keep up with your active young child.

    When To Have A Toddler Photography Session

    If you are enjoying a picnic in the park, that is a great reason for a toddler photo session. If your young one just had their first haircut, that is a perfectly good reason. There are no shortage of reasons to justify having a highly trained photographer capture your daughter or son at play. Toddlers are at that precious age where pretty much anything they do is cute. So let us combine creative and artistic perspective with natural cuteness and produce something amazing.

    What Types of Photos Will There Be?

    It depends completely on the personality of your toddler. What does your toddler enjoy doing most? If it is playing catch with the family puppy, then let's include your dog in the photo shoot. If it is jumping up and down on the bed, then we say go for it (with parents' permission, of course). The main idea is to capture your toddler in his or her element, being natural and carefree. A precocious expression, perhaps, or a mischievous smile. These are the kinds of moments you will enjoy seeing years later, long after your toddler has grown.

    Where To Hold Your Photo Session

    For most clients, we hold toddler photo sessions in and around San Diego. If you live in a surrounding area, will be happy to travel to you. If you live in another city, we likely have a local photographer on our team who is nearby. There are a lot of possibilities when it comes to arranging your toddler photo shoot. If you are here in San Diego, we may hold the shoot at a nearby park, or a scenic area like Seaport Village. We also have the advantage of the beach, meaning we can capture photos on the pier, in the water, or on the sand. If your toddler is adventurous, we will grab our camera follow them along, watching and taking photos as they explore. If you are not sure where to hold your shoot, and we have a number of preferred recommendations to recommend. Just ask!

    Specializing In Toddler Photography

    Someone may be a great photographer, but it doesn't automatically make them a wonderful toddler photographer. It takes years of training and preparation to photograph toddlers with care and detail, and to capture well composed images. Also, it takes a sense of childlike wonder and imagination on the part of the photographer that is built into their personality. As we photograph, we are constantly thinking about the toddler's vantage point and how they see the world. Often, it involves literally getting down to their level and photographing from the ground, or close to it! If it means capturing a shot that couldn't have been achieved otherwise, we are willing to go that extra mile.

    Before Your Toddler Photography Shoot

    When contacting our studio, you will talk with one of our photography professionals about the details for your photo session. This will include location, day, time, and other considerations. This is the perfect time to ask questions about your shoot, along with explaining any specific goals or objectives you have. It also helps if you describe your toddler and share a bit about their personality. If they are boisterous and unstoppable, we will play off their energy and enthusiasm during the shoot. If they are shy and reserved, we will capture their more pensive moments. As we talk together, we will make an initial plan for your shoot. Then, this plan will be further defined by your photographer before and after the photo session.

    Photo Shoot Images

    Shortly after your shoot, we typically place all images from the shoot in an online proofing system. This gives you the ability to view the entire photography session at once, and to hand-select your favorite photos. From there, we have an expert post-production team who is available to adjust, refine, and stylize the photos, giving them an extra level of care and attention. Especially if you plan to hang a photo on a wall of your home, give it as a gift, or keep it for years to come, we want to make sure that the photos look their very best. This is why we have a full post-production team and a number of keepsake options, so you have a lot of resources available to you. We take very good care of our clients, and would love to continue photographing your child throughout the years!
