Catholic Wedding Ceremony Photography

Our team is very accustomed to photographing weddings at San Diego Catholic Churches. We know many of the officiants by name, if not as personal acquaintances or friends. Having familiarity with the church service helps us to capture the proceedings. Also, knowing the church buildings and layouts gives us insight into providing the best coverage. For example, let's say there are two photographers at your Catholic wedding ceremony. One can be upfront, capturing the emotions of the vow exchange. At the same time, the other photographer can be in the back of the room or up high. This enables us to preserve the reaction of guests simultaneously, or to show the entire room at once.

Not all Catholic wedding ceremonies are held in a San Diego Catholic Church. There may be Catholic or even interfaith couples who choose to hold their wedding ceremony at a typical wedding venue. Or, they may hold a smaller private ceremony at a residence or beach, and then host a large wedding reception. But as is often the case in Catholic weddings, the ceremony is held at a church here in San Diego. Or else in a nearby area, such as Carlsbad or La Jolla. Things To Keep In Mind For Photography At Catholic Weddings

As mentioned, the wedding ceremony and reception are often in two different places at Catholic weddings. Because of this, you will want to set your event and photography timeline accordingly. For example, give your guests ample time to get from one location to another without cutting it too tight. Otherwise, your family members may miss out on cocktail hour photography.

Keep in mind that if your relatives are visiting from out of town, they may not know the area as well. Also, you will want to account for traffic conditions on the day of your wedding. If you plan your Catholic wedding photography timeline with a buffer, there should be no issue. Our photography specialists will work with you to plan out the events of the day, to ensure there is complete coverage.

Also, let us know if there are other traditions you will be following. For example, if you plan to wait until the the wedding ceremony to see each other, this is something you will want to talk over with your team of San Diego wedding photographers. This is because it may be challenging to capture both of you in separate locations. In fact, it may be physically impossible!
